I picked up the DAA EGDE Shot Timer about a week ago — and first off, I went with the Teal version just because I’ve had black timers forever. Let me tell you… this thing looks sharp. The color absolutely pops on the range and stands out in the best way possible. Stylish and functional? I’m in. Now let’s talk about the buzzer. If you crank it up to loud and high frequency, it is hands down the loudest shot timer buzzer I’ve ever heard. I’m not exaggerating — this thing will rattle your teeth ????. Outdoors, indoors, in a busy class — you will hear it. No missed starts, no guessing. Build quality is rock solid. It feels durable, well thought out, and clearly designed by people who actually shoot. It’s packed with features, easy to navigate, and just makes sense ergonomically. One feature I really appreciate is the dual display. When it’s hanging on your belt, you can still clearly see your times without having to twist it around awkwardly. That’s one of those small details that makes a big difference during training or competition. Bottom line: this is a super nice timer. Great performance, excellent build, and it looks awesome doing it. Go get one. You won’t regret it.

When I first got my unit, I had an issue with it failing to home…. I emailed DAA and had a reply from them within the hour with directions on how to adjust the digital stall sensitivity of the step motor. I adjusted that – and it now works great! It took me just few minutes to setup, and since then I’ve run 5,000 cases through it – without a glitch. I’ve not seen one single up-side-down case, or a .380 make it to my shell plate. I love this thing!
