The timer is an excellent bit of kit and an invaluable training aid.

The timer works excellent in reasonable good weather, but it is not waterproof and some rain (and also low temperature) puts it out of business. It operates, but the time becomes unreadable as the intensity of the black digits fades and gives no contrast.

I have mine for several years now, since the first batch. I love it! I use it in my personal training on my belt, in club coaching, and I never go ROing without it.
For ROing it is very light and easy to use, and easy to put away in the pocket when waiting on a squad. In practices it is also a great learning tool, with all the possibilities of going back on strings, finding out transition times...
I find it friendly for use to anyone, and a must have product!

Shooting without timer is just having fun but nothing more. This tool helps to measure and record the productivity and makes visible the improvement. While I use this stuff I think that who is practicing without timer just wasting his time on the range.

I recieved my CED 7000 shot timer a few weeks ago and have used it several times. My primary use is for analysing police recruits and their draw speed in the initial stages of their firearm training program. It has shown the instructors the recruit's progress but more importantly the recruit's see they are capable of drawing quickly when time matters to save their lives. The CED 7000 has all the functions needed to assess a shooters speed though out a course of fire and the added bonus of assessing mag change times, draw to fire(accurately)and more functions I haven't had time to use. I intend to expand the use of the CED 7000 to as many areas as I can for our training program with all our services officer's. I would recommend the CED 7000 to all shooters and trainers who can use the functions to assess their skills or the member's they train. I would also recommend if you are a North American purchaser of this product that you specify the proper power cord for your area...I got one that doesn't match our power outlets but was able to buy a cheap converter. Great training tool and a well made product... one of our services members has had a CED 7000 for three years without a problem.
