I decided to buy a timer after watching Jerry Miculek's videos on YouTube, particularly his V-drills, and I now know exactly how much faster I need to be. This timer is easy to use after studying the manual a little. I wish I had bought it years ago. It adds to the fun-factor and demonstrates clearly where you need to work to improve your performance.
