So I’m kinda stuck, this is a follow up to the 5 start I had given. I purchased this a year ago and it was awesome. So here I sit here a year later with a dead battery. I call my Batteries Plus store (3X to make sure) they tell me the battery has been discontinued. I call DAA and they check into it send me an email that says multiple locations on Amazon. All the feed back for the amazon ones are crap or are completely out of stock and are from another country. So until DAA can make good on a reliable battery availability state side. I wouldn’t recommend this powder check.

DAA reply:

Hi David,

Ok, since you don’t want to purchase from the amazon links we sent, here is another:

This Powder Check was purchased for the sole purpose of preventing 9mm rounds from being loaded without a powder charge. Sometimes, the powder drop gets dirty or adjusted improperly which results in lots of cases not getting powder. This results in minor squibs (minor because they don't allow another round to chamber in my guns) which are frightening, to say the least.

Could not be happier with this addition to my Hornady Lock N Load Progressive Press.

Installs easily, adjustments are very quick and simple.

The price is just right.

I do all case prep including prime off my progressive. Progressive First station is set to neck size, 2nd station drops powder, 3rd station checks powder, 4th station seats bullet, 5th station lee factory crimp die.
In spite of my trying to eyeball powder in case before seating bullet, I have experienced an occasional no powder squib.

With the powder check, I absolutely love to hear the beep beep when loading because it assures me that I do have powder and I do not have too much.

Works great on my Dillon 750 with the Mr. Bulletfeeder! Only alarms when the powder charge is wrong, so you don't learn to ignore it.

I use this on a Lee Auto breech lock pro. Works fantastic. Very easy set up, just watch video. Once you have it set you will never hear it unless you have a charge error. Battery should last year's. DAA hit a home run with this

Easy to use and set up. An excellent addition to my progressive reloading setup.
