I had the Gen 1 Primafill and it worked great on small pistol primers, but not so much on large pistol which is the majority of my reloading. I spoke with DA and they were kind enough to give a discount on the Gen 2 and I've been very happy with it. the aluminum inserts are much better at guiding primers in to the tubes. it typically takes longer to get the primers into the tray than it does to load tubes. EXCELLECT improvement and Thanks to DA for the Great customer service.

The best handheld primer tube filler. It takes a little practice to figure out the perfect angle to hold it and how fast to feed the primers into the tube, but once you do it works better than any other handheld unit I've tried.

I initially purchased the Hornady 1911 primer filler. It was awful so I sent it back. Note: This is not a slam on Hornady products. I own many and they're top notch; they just missed the mark on their primer filler.

Immediately after, I ordered a DAA PrimiFill. With the DAA unit, it took a little practice to learn the right "angle". There's a fairly small "sweet spot" between too much tilt and not enough. Once you get that down, the DAA PrimaFill works really well. Also, it seems to be made well so I expect it will last a good long while.

Product, but as important and sometimes more important is customer response! I received this product and due to shipping, a small part was broken. I emailed them regarding the broken piece and two days later I received a replacement part.
Great product and Great customer service!!

This seems to be better built than the Frankford Arsenal vibrating primer tool. It works about the same, but the DAA product has a little more clearance between the two plastic plates. When vibrating, it has a tendency to flip over some of the small pistol primers I was using. That can be mitigated by paying attention when pressing the vibrate button, but it is slightly annoying.

I wish I had bought one of these 35 years ago, even before they were invented. If you use primer tubes GET ONE OF THESE. Quality made, very nice materials and best thing is it WORKS GREAT EVERY TIME. Go ahead and get the DAA primer tubes and DAA Primer tube rack, you will want and use them.
