Don't know if they've changed but this is by far better than Hornady or dillon. You have to screw barrel tight against the cylinder, I don't know how else to explain it. But then it's consistent, even during auto drive.

The Mark 7 Mechanical Powder measure has been a disappointment for me. It is very nicely constructed and simple to use but there are several major shortcomings that not acceptable given the price point. I have not been able to maintain a consistent powder charge during a loading session for more than 100 rounds when loading 223 with a fine grain ball powder (Alliant Power Pro Varmint). Tightening the locking nut for the metering rod with wrenches has not worked. The charge weight continually creeps up 0.1 to 0.2 grains every 50 to 100 rounds and required constant adjustment over the course of 1500 rounds loaded. This is not acceptable for a nearly $300 dollar powder measure. I also found that the small rifle funnel did not seal well to the case mouth and powder spillage was unavoidable. I will be doing some experiments to see if I can it consistent and if those fail I will be selling it.
