Without the muzzle support, my revolver rotated in the Alpha x holster. The muzzle support holds the gun in place and keeps the gun from being dislodged if bumped from the bottom. One issue was a washer was needed between the revolver adaptor and holster. w
Without the washer the screw interfered...
