The cable works fine, but why use a proprietary "round" connection on the other end of the USB-A connector? This is should be USB-C or Mini to USB-A.

This cable is a must have if you own the CED-7000. It would be great if future versions of the timer itself had micro USB or USB-C. Would save us having to buy a separate charging cable. But that's not the fault of this charging cable.

With 120V AC and 12V DC USB chargers typcailly on hand for cell/tablet charging, this is a great option to carry along to charge the CED 7000 without having to worry about dragging along separate individuual chargers

Excellent. This is a big help as sometimes I run 1 match in the morning at one club and another match in the evening at another club 60 miles away. Charged up and ready before I get to my second match.

After my car charger for the CED7000 was stolen out of my truck, I went looking for a replacement. What a surprise to find the charger now comes in a simple USB cable. This makes it easier to use since it eliminates both the separate car and home chargers. Great improvement!
