This is the third holster I’ve bought for my CZ Shadow 2 and it is my last. I had the Double Alpha Race Holster, as well as the BladeTech Speed Rig and I’ve lost count how many times my gun has fallen out of those for one reason or another. If you can’t trust your holster to retain your handgun, it starts to affect your concentration. Shot a Steel Match today using the PDR Pro-II for the first time and this holster is amazing, I never thought about the holster once wondering whether my gun was secure and shot my best match yet, go figure. Fully adjustable for height and cant as well as a retaining knob to tighten or loosen the holster on the gun. When the retaining knob is tight, there is nothing you can do to pull the gun from the holster, intentionally or unintentionally. A few quick turns to loosen and the gun slides out like butter. This holster is going to make me enjoy shooting IPSC again. I seriously can not recommend this holster enough.

bought the insert for a Race Master to fit a Tanfoglio Gold Team open gun. I found it easy to install, it locks up tight but comes out like greased lightning when the beep sounds would definitely recommend this setup to anyone looking for a fast holster that is also very secure.

If you're looking to build a competition rig from scratch, you can't go wrong with CED's rig builder. It's nice that you get a price break using the rig builder than just buying each part or gear individually. The new model holster is smooth, looks great and light. The only thing is if you have a gas pedal like I do, you might get some scratches on the mount from drawing or holstering. The new mag pouches are pretty slick and cool idea how they can be mounted on the ball in different positions. Just make sure you really really really tighten the tension screw that holds the ball to the mag pouch itself. I've had the mag pouches come off when reloading or just straight fall off.

I have the same issue with this as others have had. I am using this for a Gen 4 Glock and the fit is terrible. I had to remove a lot of material to get it to fit properly. I uderstood when ordering I would have to remove material upon ordering, but I never expected as much as had to be. After I got it to fit it still wouldn't go all the way down so the locking bar would lock. I had to again remove material from a different area to get it to lock. This created about a 1/4" of play when locked. It stays safely in the holster, but for the $50 cost it shouldn't require so much fitting in my opinion. Rating:

The rig builder part was very intuitive in helping me build my USPSA rig for my limited gun. The products are outstanding. I love the new Alpha X holster and mag carriers, build quality is excellent. Lots of adjustability in the holster and mag carriers so I can position them where they feel natural for me.
