I have been very happy with the case feeder and it has sped up my reloading. I'm not a large volume reloader, typically never more than 200-300 rounds per session. There were a few items in assembly that the online video doesn't address like needing a metric allen key, but so far so good! I posted those items to the on-line video and I assume they are still there. And it definitely beats the heck out of listening to a vibratory case feeder!

Absolutely perfect addition for the Dillion 550B. Watch setup video first. Setup and making ammo in a few minutes. It is by far the best add on for the 550B. Adding the Case Bowl is a must. Do not hesitate to add this to your loader.

Case feeder was easy to set up and get adjusted. I ran a full magazine of 223 through it, no dies or anything, just putting the case feeder through it's paces. Worked very well. I switched over to 380 and ran 2 two full tubes through it, again no dies just making the feeder do its thing, and again it worked very well.
Unfortunately the case feeder will not work for me. I do all of my sizing and priming as a separate process and my powder measure lives in the number 1 position on the Dillon. The DAA Mini case feeder occupies the same area that my powder measure wants to be. I don't want to change my loading process that has served me well for a long time so I contacted DAA for a RMA and store credit and sent the case feeder back.
I had very high hopes for the mini case feeder and it worked as promised, just didn't work in my process.

I was so impressed by the function of the mini case feeder I bought one for my Brother in Law for his Dillon 550. I love it

I was excited to receive my mini case feeder but, quickly learned this is not a typical "plug-and-play" product. After assembly I could not get cases to drop consistently when pulling the charging handle. I reached out to Double Alpha and quickly got a response from Josh who, thru many emails, got me thru it and so far this Double Alpha mini case feeder works great!!!

Okay, it works as stated and yes get the bowl for loading the cases.

I gave it 4 stars because with 223 brass sometimes it slightly pulls them back and they won’t feed smoothly into the die.
