Good fit and finish. slightly under weight compared to an actual mag loaded with 10 rounds of 9mm 115 grain. These imitation mags fit my Springfield RO 9mm and work well combined with a real mag filled with dummy rounds for dry fire draws and reloads.

Durable, function as advertised. The SIG P320 21 rd practice mags are 60% of the actual full mag weight. Sufficient for my use. Follower allows user to cycle the action w/o slide lock. In short, dryfire practice is more realistic and efficient with this product. Add a laser 'bullet' simulator &...

I was surprised by how sturdy these feel for being plastic. They have a good weight to them and can handle being dropped on the floor without getting damaged. They fit my Shadow 2 perfectly and fall out easily when the mag release is pressed.

I was looking everywere for these as I've been using wrist weights to try to simulate a fully loaded magazine and was considering trying to build something similar myself, but I'm not that handy and I know I'd make a mess of the project.

I received them yesterday and am really pleased. They are...

Great product & very helpful with dry fire training. Magazines work well with both USPSA & IPSC compliant mag well.

I had previously sent an email to you stating that this is a very innovative product for the shooter who wants to practice reloads of various types . I use this at home; and, at the range for practice exercises before I go to live fire. This saves the wear and tear on my 2011 magazines, which are...

Dry-Fire Magazines Note
The dry-fire magazine does not reset your trigger!

Description:

Pack of 5 - DAA Dry Fire Practice Magazine

The DAA Dry-Fire Practice Magazine is designed to emulate as closely as possible the feel and performance of a fully loaded real magazine. It allows you to dry-fire without introducing dummy loaded rounds to weigh down real magazines, which can be risky, and saves wear on your real mags.

Using internal steel weights, it comes close to the actual weight of a fully loaded mag, and the Patent-Pending spring-loaded follower on the top of the mag pushing up against the slide as you insert it into the gun, making the reload feel just like the real thing!

The tension on the follower makes not only the insertion feel realistic, but also ensures that the magazine does not rattle around in the gun while you train, when you hit the mag-release, it ejects under some tension, just like the real thing. The mag and follower are design NOT to activate the slide stop so you can practice racking the slide as you load, without having it lock back.

No ammo of any kind can be loaded into these magazines, helping to keep your dry-fire safe and ammo-free. The purple color and red follower make it clear to all that these are not real magazines and that no live ammo is in play.

The DAA Dry-Fire Practice Mag is constructed of durable fiber-reinforced nylon, and can take a beating. But we still recommend to avoid dropping the mags onto a concrete floor, as they are heavy and some damage may occur. Some customers have had breakage of the upper lips when dropping on concrete! Dropping onto tiled floors may damage both the floor and the magazine!
We recommend dropping onto a carpeted floor or something that can absorb the impact.

We have tried to design the base pads of the magazines to fit with most magwells, however, it is possible that some magwells may prevent the magazine from seating all the way. Fortunately, these magazines can easily be filed on with a file or dremmel tool to fit your particular magwell type.

Please note:
We do not recommend using these dry-fire mags in combination with the CoolFireTrainer!
The high speed motion of the slide created by the CFT, combines with the spring loaded follower pushing up, causes the magazine to bounce violently as the gun cycles.
This leads to excessive wear around the mag catch area and can render them unusable.

Will these mags fits my gun?

It is impossible for us to say for sure if the magazine will fit your particular gun model. There are over 150 brands of 1911’s and probably 30 or more high cap 2011 frames on the market. There are many generations of Glocks too, and a bunch of CZ’s. It’s impossible for us to test them all.

What we can say is this:

The 1911 model mag was modelled from a Megar 1911 8 round .45 mag. If such a mag fits your gun, so should the DAA Dry-fire Mag.

The 2011 model mag was modelled from an STI 140mm 38S mag. If such a mag fits your gun, so should the DAA Dry-fire Mag.

The Glock magazine was modelled from a 9mm G17 Gen4 mag. If such a mag fits your gun, so should the DAA Dry-fire Mag.

The CZ magazine was modelled from a SP01 9mm mag, and testing in the Shadow2 as well. If such a mag fits your gun, so should the DAA Dry-fire Mag.

The SIG320 mag was modelled from a P320 9mm mag, and tested on the P320X5 as well. If such a mag fits your gun, so should the DAA Dry-fire Mag.

*** it is possible that you may need to remove a little plastic from the base pad of the magazine to fit your magwell.
