I contacted Alpha Dynamics directly after having problems with another supplier of the adjustable thumb rest. Quick response ,quick shipping and a great project. Installed it on a 1911 9mm and am very happy with results.

This is my second thumb rest I have purchased for my second competition gun. My first one was the narrow rest that I soon traded to another shooter for the wider one. Everyone’s thumbs are not the same. So why buy a fixed thumb rest. This one it totally adjustable to the shooter! The wide rest gives me more control of recoil letting me press the gun back into place. I’ve trained myself using this grip for so long I can’t shoot without it’s become part of my muscle memory. It’s comfortable doesn’t get in the way of my holster & and helps manage recoil.

This is a great product the fit on my witness limited elite was perfect I just had too short of thumbs to use effectively in any position (I have big palms and short fingers) but if your weak had thumb extends past the slide release than this product would work perfect for you. I returned the thumb rest because of my short thumbs. I called before I sent it back and was pleased that the person on the phone was nice and informative he told me how to fill out the return slip and then I mailed it off. I will be using this website and company for future products I want for my uspsa rig like the alpha x mag pouches and race holster a couple buddies I shoot with have them and they are awesome cant wait to have my own.

I am disappointed. I contacted DAA before purchasing for my CZ TSO. I was told to purchase the single hole option. It turns out I also need to drill a screw hole in the frame. Not doing it.
One star for my TSO. Five star for the concept. I wish it worked.

I only used the paddle as I mounted it directly on the C-more support. Luckily for me the holes in this support gave sufficient place to lock the thumb rest and to let pass the adjusting screw.
The bolting of this c-more support was to short and I couldn't find these little screws as fast as I wanted (moreover these are inch screws....)

Does the job!
Had my Open Minor gun tapped on the right frame to install this thumbrest (southpaw version). The difference in shot recovery is subtle but definitely there, allowing you to be less tense without sacrificing speed or accuracy. I can't imagine my wanting to shoot again without it.

I installed 2 of these on the right side for left hand shooting. I still needed to mount it further back for proper support, so I had to cut the rear so the slide stop would fit.
It comes with 4mm screws, so you have to decide if you want to use a lesser screw such as a #5-40. From prevjous experience with open guns, even with loctite the 4mm do stay tight with only 2 screws. Quite often, the #5-40s will loosen unless you use more screws. Ask yourself why 5 small screws are used for the c-more sight mount!
I will probably buy another one for my other STI.

I love this product. Had a little snag on the bolts holding it in place, not the fault of DAA. Got the right ones and have put the pedal to the metal from there. Its adjustable design makes it great for everyone from short stubby fingers to large long hands. Perfect!

I have tried the several others thumb rests and have the DAA is by far the best. It comes with the screws to attach to the frame they are the perfect size from both my STI frames. The only adjustable rest. That remindes me I need to order a few more. Thanks

Purchased Double Alpha thumb rest excellent well made and easy to adjust but the best part for my application is that they now have it to suit left hand shooters (finally it took DA to keep the quality product and give us lefties a go well done guys.
