I recently purchased a copy of Saul Kirsch's
"Perfect Practice" and found myself absolutely surprised at how well it was
thought out and put together. There are fantastic drills with advice for every
level of competition shooter. Most of the drills take almost no props to
practice with and are able to be used on nearly any pistol range. This book
brings a new level of professionalism to the products in the competition market.
I will be using the book every time I am at the range and will be recommending it
to my students as a must buy! Congratulations Saul on an incredible product and
I can't wait to see your next book!

I did finally get the book and I read it the
first day. I love it. I think you did a great job making it simple and to the
point. I can't wait to get on the range again and start running some of your
drills. It is always fun to do something new and now I can. Only problem is I
have to take about 4 months off because of my Army schedule. Oh well. I have
something to look forward to though.

By the way, I could scarcely be more impressed
with your training guide, Perfect Practice.
I've been using the copy I obtained from you in Oparany myself, and have been
following a couple of friends to whom I also recommended it. Initial impressions
after about 8 good practice sessions are very positive, and I've already
realized significant improvement in certain skills (such as shooting on the
move) that I had previously come to accept were beyond me.
I am developing a new competitive problem now: allowing myself to trust my newly
enhanced capabilities. I unthinkingly hit a couple of crucial US poppers on the
run at A1 last week, stopped in bemused disbelief to look, and negated the time
and extra reload I saved thereby. Pretty funny; that's a nice problem to have.
Thank you.

Saul-
I bought Perfect Practice from Max Michel a few weeks ago, and it is a great
resource. I took a class
from Max back in August that really helped me pick up speed/accuracy, but I
still didn't have the drills to refine my practice. Your book gave me some great
drills, and I put about 20 of them in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets to track my
progress. I would happily share those with you if you are interested. I am on
the verge of an A-card (73%) and I WILL be an M-card by this time next year!
Thanks for the great book!

I have had the pleasure of training with Saul on
various occasions, and I was pleasantly surprised when I heard he was writing a
book about IPSC shooting. Saul's new book is crammed with useful information,
and more importantly, drills to practice what you've read. I received Saul's
book just three weeks before the European Championships. I am convinced that
reading it and doing some of the exercises (especially the accuracy drills) in
the last weeks of preparation has helped me win the EC2004. I feel this book
will be a major progression boost in my evolution as an IPSC shooter.
The drills are very effective and easy to set up. You can even do them on
shooting days when you're only allowed to shoot from a shooting stand. I use
exercises from the book at every training night. It's always in my range bag. I
highly recommend it to shooters who want to improve their skills!

Saul,
I received your book a while ago, and have been mulling it over for a bit. I
want to commend you on putting together a great collection of drills, but the
book is more than that. It also addresses the goals of the drills, as well as
some pitfalls to look out for. Your writing is simple, but precise, and very
easy to grasp the points your are making. I am recommending this book to other
shooters, and want to thank you for putting it together.

“Perfect Practice, A Guide to Quality IPSC
Training”, by Saul Kirsch
A review by Chris van den Hout There are
lots of good, even great books about how to shoot perfectly. But this one is
refreshing. It is very to the point on how to do your practice effectively. We
all know the following problem. After years of shooting you will get to a point
where you can stay for a long time, your results will not get any better. You’ll
stay on the same level. Sure you have fun on the range, but you don’t have a
good plan for improving your shooting skills. Well this book is for you! I’m
impressed. Saul Kirsch is a World Class top
level IPSC shooter and has lots of experience. He has won many competitions
world wide as can be read on his site www.doublealpha.biz.
With this book he has given us a very detailed look in his IPSC training
program. This book is easy to understand, even for people who normally don’t
read English books.
It is practical book, divided into clear sections. It has space to take notes
and practice results in pencil. Each
chapter starts with a very easy to understand general guideline on how to
practice each part with tips and tricks that perhaps you have never thought
about. I’m sure it will help you.
The general guideline is followed by a practical part of several drills to
practice. And there are 54 drills described in this book! So there is enough
information to improve your shooting skills. All drills are kept short to ensure
you get the most out of it. Especially when shooting in a group. “Isolate the
skill you are working on”. Remember, “practice makes permanent, not always
perfect”. If you practice shooting badly, you will get better at shooting badly.
This book will help you to make positive progress. Your training sessions will
be more effective, that’s fore sure.
The chapters cover:
- Precision Shooting 5 drills
- Calling Your Shots 5 drills
- Recoil Control 3 drills
- Reaction Time 1 drill
- The Draw 8 drills
- Reloads 4 drills
- Shooting Position Transitions 8 drills
- Prone and Kneeling Shooting 4 drills
- Barricade Shooting 4 drills
- Target Transitions 4 drills
- Shooting on the Move 4 drills
- Shooting Swingers (Bobbers) 4 drills
Each drill contains the following parts: - Description, - Goal of the drill, -
Construction and layout pointers, - String of fire, - Suitable for, - Keep track
of, a Picture on how to set up the drill and a Table for recording your results.
I’m sure I will spend my range time much better in the future with the help of
this book. I can recommend it to all level of practical shooters. All this info
only for € 25,- A must have !

“Perfect Practice, A Guide to Quality IPSC
Training”, by Saul Kirsch
gemaakt is.
- Precisie schieten 5 oefeningen
- Schot bewustzijn 5 oefeningen
- Opslag controle 3 oefeningen
- Reactietijd 1 oefening
- Trekken van het wapen 8 oefeningen
- Patroonhouderwissel 4 oefeningen
- Verplaatsen tussen schietposities 8 oefeningen
- Liggend en knielend schieten 4 oefeningen
- Barricade schieten 4 oefeningen
- Overgang tussen doelen 4 oefeningen
- Schieten tijdens verplaatsen 4 oefeningen
besteden. Ik kan het iedere parcoursschutter aanraden. Veel informatie voor maar
€ 25,- Gewoon kopen!
