IPSC Background

Saul started his shooting career at the age of 12, as an Olympic rifle shooter. He competed in air-rifle and small-bore 3-position and prone. He represented Israel in several international championships and held several junior national records.

He begun shooting IPSC in 1990, first shooting Standard, and later moving to Open. His first international match was the 1995 Europeans held in Sweden.

Since then he has traveled the world competing in 4 world shoots and several US nationals, in addition to dozens of level III matches across Europe.

Saul Captains the STI Euro team.

IPSC Main Achievements

- Winner of over 50 level III Championships.

- 4 times winner of the European Steel Challenge

- Winner of the 2009 World Shoot Shoot-off event

- 2nd and 3rd place finishes at the European Championships

- 5th, 6th, and 7th place finishes at the World Championships

- Several top 4 finishes at the US Nationals

Hobbies and Interests

In addition to IPSC shooting, which is Saul's main passion he enjoys the following hobbies:

CNC machining: a handy hobby, as Saul is behind the development and prototyping of most of the new DAA products.

Scuba diving: back in the days when Saul lived in Israel, he was a frequent diver down in the Red sea. Today, it?s more of a vacation hobby.

Books and movies - Saul is an avid reader and is always reading one book or more. He enjoys the movies too.

Sports: he is enthusiastic skier and enjoys winter vacations, usually in Austria. Belongs to a gym, which he admits he does not visit regularly enough.
