Greetings all, The IWA show is of course the largest show of it's kind in Europe, and this year, it seemed to be busier than ever. I have been there for the past 13 years, first with BUL Ltd, and lately with my own booth, As Double-Alpha Academy, and I must say I don't remember such a busy show. It was super! Things got off to a rocky start for me, as just as I was packing to leave for the show, 5am on Thursday morning, I tripped on the stairs carrying a large box, and sprained my ankle badly! it was BAD - so bad I though I may have broken it. But, after an hour of icing it, I had to hit the road and drive the 600 odd kilometers to Nurenberg and the IWA show. I was fortunate to have a friend with me, who was a great help in unloading and setting up out booth. That first day I could hardly stand! This was my second year of having my own booth at the show. A couple of year before that I had some space in the BUL booth, but now, out on my own, and growing the business every year, my own booth is necessary, and welcome. This year, we had a larger corner booth, allowing us to nicely display our ever growing assortment of IPSC accessories. One of the biggest show stoppers was our KISS bullet feeder. It was front and center on our stand, and hooked up to a 650, fully functional. passerby's could actually stop and load some ammo if they wanted, to get the full impact of how great this machine really is. Double-Alpha Academy is the exclusive importer and distributor of the KISS bullet feeder in Europe, and the units sold so far have met with great satisfaction. Everyone who owns one of them just loves their KISS machine. I cuts reloading time in half, and for those of us who load a lot of ammo - that is priceless. we received many enquiries and orders at the Show. some will have to wait a while for their order, as demand is exceeding supply at this point. Of course the "still new" CED7000 line of timers and accessories was a hot item as well. These were prominently displayed out our booth and drew a lot of interest and orders. It simply is the best timer out there, and the market is now beginning to be familiar with it, which only seems to increase demand. DAA and CED are working hard to stay ahead of the demand, but since production has to be scheduled months in advance, it is rather tough at times to always have all models in stock. We apologies to those who have had to wait for the timer order. A large order is scheduled here later in the month. The show was exciting in the "new product" front as well, and Double-Alpha Academy has taken on the distribution of 3 new major lines: In the holster range, we will shortly offer also Guga Ribas and Höppner & Schumann holsters and pouches, and in the ear defender market we will be distributing the excellent top quality military spec SORDIN Supreme Pro line of digital hearing protection. More on that coming soon. The STI Euro Team was there in full force, welcoming our new team member Emile Obriot of France, and meeting with Dave and Pauletta Skinner - owners of STI. It was wonderful to spend time together and plan out the new season. The Euro team also is proud to announce that they will be sponsored by and represent SORDIN on Sweden, in addition ot the team other sponsors, More on that on the Team website shortly. The show went by in a blur - and amazingly is already behind us. Now it's timer to prepare for this weekend's trip to Vienna, and the Trophy match there. Until the next time I wish you all excellent shooting. Saul Kirsch | Pictures The DAA booth at IWA 2007 Charles Hardey of CED and Saul Kirsch at the DAA booth New members of the STI Euro team.
