Double-Alpha Academy is a company with a difference. It is a company that was founded on a vision - Promoting Excellence in IPSC Shooting - and this vision remains our passion and our motivation. We are totally dedicated to the sport of Practical Shooting.
Double-Alpha Academy only sells products we know and believe in because we ourselves use them. We are always on the lookout for or working to develop new products which meet that bill. The shooting range is our drawing board and the thrill of top level competition our inspiration.
In 2004 Double-Alpha Academy published my first book, Perfect Practice. This was followed by Thinking Practical Shooting in 2005. Now available in English, German, Italian, and Spanish, these books are enjoyed by shooters worldwide.
In 2003 we produced our first competition DVD. Since then, Double-Alpha Academy has brought close to 20 productions to the shooting community, including the official Match DVDs for the 2005 and 2008 World Shoots and several USPSA National Championships. In line with our motto Promoting Excellence in IPSC Shooting, we have recently produced new coaching DVDs, bringing you the teachings of top shooters and coaches like Max Michel and Angus Hobdell in 3GM, 3GM2, and my coaching DVDs, Master Class Series.
Double-Alpha Academy is situated in a new business complex in the city of Waalwijk, in the centre of the Netherlands. It is a two story complex, with a 200sqm warehouse area, 7m high, and office space on the 2nd floor. Three full time, and two part employees work for the company. In 2006 Competitive Edge Dynamics and Double-Alpha Academy introduced the new CED7000 Shot Timer to the shooting world. This timer has since become the industry standard.
Building on our successful cooperation, CED and DAA continue to work together to develop new products. Together we introduced the customized shooter's knee pads and the exciting Range Ready Cleaning Kit. And there is more to come!
We are very proud to announce that Double-Alpha Academy is now "CED Europe", the exclusive importer of all CED products to Europe and Africa. We stock and offer the CED product line to dealers and distributors in Europe, offering them local service and warranty as well as greatly reduced lead times and transport costs. No longer do the best shooting accessories need to be ordered from halfway around the world! They are now in stock right here in the Netherlands.
Double-Alpha Academy sponsors many of the biggest IPSC matches in Europe, and we set up shop at the match ? offering the competitors the chance to view and try our products. All the team at Double-Alpha are active shooters, and so compete at the matches as well. Originally most of Double-Alpha Academys business was in the retail market. However, it has always been our goal to develop and distribute our own products and other top brands of IPSC equipment. This goal is now being realized with our new spacious warehouse and a customer base that is more wholesale-oriented. We currently supply over 140 dealers and distributors around the world, and that number is constantly on the increase. We work hard to offer our dealers the very best customer service, as well as excellent profit margins and sales support.
Double-Alpha Academy exhibits each year at the IWA show in Nurnberg Germany. At the show meet with our many dealers, distributors and suppliers and share with them new ideas and concepts.
