Comments: DAA's DVDs

Hey Saul,

I finally got time to watch all of the World Shoot in Bali and wanted to let you know that you and your crew did an outstanding job of filming from all the angles, hat cam, mix of shooters, etc. I know that it is a major challenge for anyone to do this, plus you shot in the match itself and congratulations to you with a great Top 10 finish!! Again, thanks for making it possible for the rest of us to see a great match!

Best Regard,

Stan Parker

Saul,

I got the 3 DVDs and 2 books yesterday and I have not been able to put them down. You have gone above and beyond my expectations. Being relatively new to the sport I have already developed a lot of bad practice habits. This is nothing like bulls-eye shooting and the depth of your knowledge base and sincerity really are conveyed in this material.

Here in the states we seem to spend a lot of time in our cars commuting around. The DVD about this being a mind game would be nice to have in a CD format to listen to while in the car. Just a thought.

Once again THANKS for your hard working in putting this material together.

Hi Saul,

I thought I'd take the opportunity to provide some better feedback than simply the brief comment I made yesterday on the phone. I found the DAA Master Class Series an excellent training presentation. The information layout and presentation is systematic, sequential and logically-structured to maximize the value as a training tool. Additionally, your instructional style allows the technical information to be conveyed in a polished manner which allows easy digestion. This facet allows the DVD to be far more instructionally effective, user friendly & generally enjoyable to watch. By comparison, I've watched other IPSC training DVDs whereby despite the instructor being technically competent & accomplished, they lack confidence in their presentation - thus the lesson becomes disjointed and more of an effort to watch.

As effective training packages take time and significant effort to produce, naturally there's a cost associated. Some shooters within themselves emotionally struggle to justify this cost, either because of bad-experiences with poorly-structured & ineffective past training packages or due to a
level of potential ignorance of the benefits. My view is that quality training material is invaluable, and pays dividends far exceeding the input cost - a view I've shared with several Australian IPSC shooters along with my opinions of the Master Class Series.

Keep up the good work, I look forward to 3GM Vol 2

Best Regards

Hi!

Just received the 3 DVDs 2 days ago from a distributor here and can only say that it is worth more that what I paid for. It is very clear and helps a lot whatever level of shooting you are in. I now carry a small DVD player with me so I can watch on my breaks.

I watch the videos so intently that my wife almost suspected it was some other kind of video I was watching! This is the next best thing to actually attending a training session with Saul but with the distinct advantage of having him repeat something anything and anytime I want!

Keep up the good work,

Pete

Dear saul:

Thank you for your shipment of dvd's I am enjoying them very much and learning a lot from the master series of dvd's, My last club match after watching your mastering the mental game and practicing the drills on dvd #2 I came in second in production class with 98.67% which is a personal best for me. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you sharing your skill and knowledge with shooters like myself who want to shoot better but have trouble breaking out of the rut of old habits.

Thank you again!
Ever appreciative

Hi Saul,

Last week I received the Master Class Series of DVD's?. Absolute GREAT ! Worth every penny spend on it!

After just watching once just the first DVD, I found 4 fundamental things I did wrong;  and even better ? due to your excellent way of explaining the techniques it was easily to work for me on these issue's.  Even after 2 practices of an hour, with your comment in my head, I noticed significant improvement!

I can recommend everybody, if your in IPSC shooting, in Steel plate Challenge or in any another handgun discipline to watch these DVD's. They will open your eyes and show very Cleary the options in the technique you can use to improve shooting.

Thanks!

Saul,
I received the video (3GM) yesterday 2-15-07. That was FAST service. It was a good video. Several of the things you 3 talk about, I teach in my carry classes. I am a range master for our law enforcement agency (Minnesota State Patrol). Was nice to see I was doing something right in terms of stance and grip. I even use the same percentages when talking about weight distribution and grip percentages.
I found the accuracy piece and the transition piece to be most informative.
Take care Saul.

A lowly master class shooter just tryin' to improve,

Dear Saul

Just to let you know that I just received the DVD's today and it's like a second Christmas. I couldn't be happier. Your DVD's and books are really worth it and have helped me allot.

Thank you for the very nice pen, it's such good quality. It was a nice surprise. The guys at the range will be so jealous ha ha ha. If you ever want to come to PNG let me know and the IPSC shooters will take care of you.

Hi Saul,

Just wanted to drop you a line and say great job on the 3GM video. It covered the basics very well. I have only been shooting for 2 years and I am currently an A class open shooter on the verge of making my Master card. I was just interested to see if you planned on a video to address some of the more advanced topics such as stage breakdown, shooting on the move, barricades??.etcetera ??

I thought it would be very interesting to see 3 approaches to these and other areas.

Anyway thanks and great shooting to you?. Hope to see you at the Florida Open.

Regards

Martin, USA

Saul I just finished watching your 2005 open and limited championship videos, each one twice, they are by far, the best match coverage I have ever seen. The creative effects of superimposing two shooters together to compare finishes and movement is a stroke of genius. When will your 2006 championships be ready, I will order as soon as I see them.
take care

Saul: Thanks so much for putting out the 3 GM video.
I am a beginner competitor at age 51 (am I really that old?) and found the video more instructive than several shooting schools I have attended. I came back from the range today having had not only my first quick double that was the same basic hole with my production gun, but also my second and third. I know I will never be a threat to anyone in this sport but thank you so much for bringing my skills up to a level where I can actually enjoy the sport more. Again, thanks.

Hi, Saul!
Anxious as I was to watch your new 3GM DVD, I have already glanced at it.
I find it to be truly excellent. The idea to have three top shooters teaching the same subjects is great.

It certainly helps one learn the fundamentals of the matter under exam.
I'm looking forward to your new teaching DVDs. Keep them coming!
I'm not aware of any previous ones. Are there any?
Best regards,
Carlos, Brazil

The MedCup DVD was really great. I personally think it was as good as the DVD from the WS, which I've probably seen 12 or 13 times since I got it from you. We will probably make a party out of it with 2 of my shooting buddies and watch it together this weekend. (probably number 3 or 4 for me by then).

I'm not a great shooter but I like to watch them to see the various tactics for taking on a stage and because of that I really enjoy your analysis.

Best regards
Randy, Belgium

Thanks Saul!
May I say that I am a HUGE fan of yours!
I live just a few blocks from Rene Arredondo at Speed Shooters here in Burbank, CA, USA and he introduced me to your materials and DVDs a couple of years ago when I first started in practical shooting. I have enjoyed re-reading and re-watching your material time and again. Whether its step-by-step instruction, mental preparation advice, stage overviews/walkthroughs, or whatever, your presentation is easily and clearly understood. Your materials have greatly improved my game (I'm a casual shooter, just started two years ago and just a few times per year, USPSA Production).

And your DVDs are a fantastic hit at barbeque parties, squad/club events, etc. And from the teaser clips you've posted on your website of these new DVDs, I am eagerly looking forward to these as well!
Thank you again!

As a "C" class shooter in open and limitted I really enjoy watching and studying the best of the best to improve my own shooting. The "hat cam" is great!! Keep up the fabulous work and good shooting!

Hi Saul

After purchasing shooting video's, made in the USA, for a number of years, I thought I would purchase both the 2005 US Open Nationals and the 2005 IPSC World Shoot from DAA for the first time..
Can I say, your production and your professionalism in the making of both productions is the best I have seen.
Thank you for your efforts and look forward to further purchases from me !

The World Shoot DVD arrived and is excellent. Not only does it bring back the stages (and the evil movers) but I spotted myself in the sequence around the opening ceremony during the feeding frenzy.

An excellent product.

Out of the last set of match DVDs, I believe this one is the best I have got. The new feature of the overlapping shooters on several stages has improved on this production, and really offers a new look of various shooting options.
There is a wider spand of shooters to learn from, which is always a big treat, and some very cool stages that help a designer's mind plan... :-)
