Double-Alpha Academy History

Double-Alpha Academy was established in 2002 and since then has been a constant part of the IPSC shooting scene in Europe. We attend many of the bigger level III matches during the year, setting up our booth and getting to know our customers face to face, while allowing them to see and touch the products, and share with us their feedback and comments.

All members of our team are active shooters, lead by world-class competitor Saul Kirsch. We don't just supply products for this sport - we live it!

The very first ever DAA booth was at the 2003 Med Cup. It's amazing to look back now and see how few items we had, and how small the "booth" was. Wow, how things have progressed over the years...

During the 2003 season we traveled to Austria to participate for the first time at the European Steel Challenge. Saul took top spot, setting a new course record to boot!

Another major event in the 2003 season was the CZ Extreme Open shot, back then, in Krumlov.

In 2004 we traveled the European circuit, competing and setting up our booth at a dozen matches, these were a few:

At the 2004 European Championships, DAA took parts as an official stage sponsor for the first time. We had a stage covered in our banners, and a booth set up at the vendors area. Great match!

At the 2005 STI Open in Philippsburg DAA was present in the sponsors tent, as well as represented in the match by both Saul and Eli. The STI Euro Open has become one of the best events in Europe, and is a fixed part of our annual schedule.

As the years flew by, DAA's assortment of products grew to were it was no longer possible to set up the booth just for lunch, and our booth became an "open all day" display. Our match display now requires a 6m long tent and several tables, and looks somewhat different from our 2003 starting booth...

During May 2009 at the superb Med-Cup in Cheval-Blanc in the South of France, DAA filmed a new match DVD, as well as set up shop with our most complete assortment to date. The match was well attended with over a dozen sponsors/vendors, and we were proud to be one of the most significant displays there.

IWA show

The IWA show is the primary sport-shooting show in Europe. Our first booth at IWA was in 2006, the year CED and DAA introduced the CED7000 timer to the shooting community. Since we were a late registration, we could only get a very small, narrow-front booth in hall 3. But we made the best of it, having a great show and receiving an overwhelming response to our new timer and other projects. it was clear to us that IWA would be a "must-do" event in our annual calender.

In 2007 we had a more spacious booth, and a more impressive exhibit. We had several new DVDs to share, as well as the new line of STI apparel - and of course the timers were going from strength to thrength.

2008 was the year that DAA became the sole importer and master distributor for all of CED products for Europe and Africa. Our booth was bigger, and CED products were a center part of our line. they remain so to this day.

The 2009 IWA show found us in the same location in hall three - but with a larger booth and displaying a much larger range of products. in 2009 be began expanding our line with custom designed CNC products, such as base pads, scope mounts and C-more wings, as well as an ever growing assortment of new CED items and DAA DVDs and accessories. We had the pleasure of meeting with many of our Dealers and suppliers, as well as finding several new products to add to our line.
